Today the leadership trait to ponder is Focus. The dictionary defines Focus as: the center of interest or activity; the state or quality of having or producing clear visual definition; to pay particular attention to. I believe the ability to focus is an important trait of a leader. Below are some of my favorite quotes to help inspire and illustrate Focus. As you read these quotes, think about how you can exemplify this leadership trait in yourself.

I read your post. This is very interesting article about how to focus on everything. The quotes from Aristotle is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this.
To work efficiently we have to single task. Develop a single-tasking workflow. Prioritize and stick to that. Do’t start doing another thing without accomplishing the first one.
Focus is about clearing the clutter – for yourself as a leader and most importantly for the team. Helping the team clearly see the vision so they can focus on what they have to do with their own unique skills and talents to make a difference is where leadership is at its finest.
Focus is also about definition – knowing what you need to do and maintaining the benchmark so that you are strayed from the course by what I call ‘shiny object syndrome’ – this helps us stay true to our mission and values.
The obstacle with focus is that it can lead to living with tunnel vision – balance is required here to continue to scan and re-adjust focus so that you are still open to opportunities that align with your mission.
Thanks for the warm-up to my day Todd!
